Dan Spitz was the lead guitarist of Anthrax during its heyday from the mid-80s to mid-90s. During that time, the band sold more than 10 million records worldwide, were nominated for three Grammy Awards, traveled the globe on more than fifty tours spanning 32 countries on five continents, released ten studio albums, and left an indelible mark on the music industry.
Today, Dan is a respected Swiss-trained master watchmaker, with his own line of high-end timepieces. Still, this diehard metalhead found time to accompany Anthrax on their recent Among the Living reunion tour.
Recently, Dan made the following confession:
“Hello, my name is Dan Spitz and I am a Waves addict. I can't stop using GTR software on my heavy rhythm guitars, as well as the API 560 EQ on the guitar bus, and the rest of the heavy stuff my dealer gives me a taste of on the weekends. Please, somebody help me.”
